Accidently bumped power button on pc, now wont power on?

October 18th, 2020

Hey guys,
so i recently built a new pc a month ago, and today when i went to sit in my chair i bumped the power button on the pc and it instantly turned off. I then continued to try turning it on again, nothing happened. unplugged the power supply for a couple of mins, then tried again, still nothing. I just took the motherboard battery out and will leave it for a while and try again in the morning. What else can i do?? And help is much appreciated!!!
Thanks Heaps

If you want to start the pc just hold the 2 wires 1sec to each other and your pc will boot up.

odd that it turned of IMMEDIATELY as you usually need to hold the power button for a few seconds before any thing happens ?
maybe the jolt dislodged something inside the pc

If he has the power button set to immediately turn off in bios, instead of wait 4 seconds, then its not odd at all.
Ive never broken a power button before by using it, but perhaps you did somehow, just getting something metal and run it up and down the pins that the power button plugs into on the mobo, its how i turn on my old old old PC (Y)
