A REALLY Good Application For Basic Video Editing?!?

August 5th, 2016

I have the movie ‘Training Day’ and I’m looking for an app which could cut a bit out of the movie and create the seperate video file. Does anyone know an app which could do this? like crop a part of the film as a seperate video file?
Thanks
Biggie

there are lots of apps that will do this. not sure why you need a REALLY good video editor to do a basic crop though…
just use Windows Movie Maker. it’s probably on your computer already.
for something more powerful but still small and manageable, use virtualdub.
if you want to go crazy and download some massive app just to do a little crop, then get Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere.

VirtualDub is the program you’re looking for.

Virtualdub is what I use to take sampes for my movies, pretty user friendly too.

AVIdemux duz all Vdub duz and more
if the file is “packed bitstream” don’t unpack it, just select “AVI pack VOP” from the dropdown when you save the clip
AVIdemux works better with a VBR audio stream than Vdub
