Is it possible to install 64Bit apps on 32Bit?

No.
If you have both – a x64 CPU [AND] a x64 operating system (OS) only then are you able to install x64 programs.

A 32bit op system will not even see the 64 bit exe as a runnable file.

Unless your using a few 64 bit intensive programs, the performance is not noticeable in most cases as the program executes quite fast.
Like in Internet Explorer 32bit versus the 64bit version.
Its a bad example, but you get the idea of a program like that.
