360 Media Center

I just got my xbox finally and i dont have media center >.> and i was wondering if i could use the media extender without reinstalling the whole xp media center. Thanks!

I’ve got an other question, when i go to windows media player and press media libary and then media share and press ok, it doesnt do anything.. (my 360 is on, with xboxlive)

I had this problem not so long ago,
i run windows XP service pack 2 with NO Media Center,
Anyway this is what i done, hope it helps.
Make sure Media Sharing is enabled for Xbox via Windows Media Player,
Connect Xbox to router via Ethernet Cable,
Go to the blade where Media Center is an option but DO NOT click on that,
if you want to play music select music,
Press “x” and choose PC from the list of storage spaces available,
And it should now work,
Same applies for Movies and Pictures.
