NForce 720a and amd 1090 6 core proc worth it?

October 29th, 2013

Im currently running amd phenom x4 9650 on a nforce 720a am2/am3 mobo
looking forwoard to upgrade the processor but i want to know if this mobo chip can actually work with most of 6core performance. i know it would not be the same if i had better mobo but thats not the question.
is it actually worth upgrade my old 9650 2mb with 1090 6mb on nforce 720a??
I really appreciate professional opinions guys

Don’t upgrade to AMD, their processors suck, as well as their chipset’s and motherboards.
Get an Intel Sandy Bridge system. The i5-2500K out preforms all AMD 6 core processors.

Well its a cheaper option for an upgrade path and you can keep your motherboard for a bit, you might lose a bit from memory bandwidth, not that noticeable.

That is an understatement, they aren’t that bad and in normal usage, you barely notice the difference.
Unless you run benchmarks all day which is unrealistic, majority of the time, you’d just be browsing the internet.
So having a comment about how a thing suck is no exception, especially when you can’t even make a CPU whatsoever.
If your into gaming, its usually just graphics card intensive.
With some games, either solutions don’t really matter that much and its all diminishing returns anyway.
You consider their marketing and product specifications.
i3, i5, i7.
If your into performance, the i5 just sounds somewhat terrible.
You can argue that performance is good, but buying an i5 2500k sounds like your a dork as there are better models around.
Sure a guy can say, you have a 6 core and a 8 core CPU, you say their performance is no good.
They say, I’ve got more cores then you, they are real not like your virtual ones.
It either sounds good on paper or sounds good on benchmarks.
Most guys just prefer paper, no one cares about how good it is as electronic stuff phase out so quick, you’d have to be loaded to even keep up with.
Although no one really cares what you have.
I would Wing Chun your ass if I was an AMD fan.

Completely false. The i5 2500K utterly destroys everything AMD in gaming. If you’re still not believing that you’re living in a dream. Brand loyalty is stupid. Go with the one that gives you better bang for the buck and there is NO CPU right now that can deliver that as much as the i5 2500K. But hey why the hell should I care what another person does with their money.
AMD fan.Fanboys are the scum of the earth.

Don’t make assumptions, I’ll let you have it your way as I don’t like to argue with guys that burn through money like it grows on trees.
Sorry for hi-jacking the thread, but you wouldn’t notice much with decent processors these days as the performance is quite acceptable.

I am not partial to AMD or Intel, but Intel bows away AMD in gaming performance every time.
Even the i3-2100 performs better than a lot of AMD x6 processors in game benchmarks.
Go for a Sandy Bridge system, its not much more and performs much better.

The i5 2500K is cheaper than the 1090T. Next.

Motherboard replacement, Memory replacement.
Oh wait that happens again after the next series, I forgot that socket changes are so predictable these days.

Dragon Core thank you for your opinion, it was very help full.
Everyone else must not understand questions in english which is fine too if you simply want to talk off topic
