Sony Alpha a35 – movie questions – focus – blur

So I’ve bought a camera recommended by a friend for 800$ with a tripod and memory card and everything. It comes with default lens.
However I am filming something and I want to film 2 people talkin to each other while the background is blurry. I want to focus on the 2 subjects while everything else in the background is blurry??
How?? Try not to suggest buying other lenses. I just paid over 780$! For something I Barelly use. I won’t even use the camera after
