Hirens Boot CD

i would just like to no what exactly is Hirens Boot CD
and also if its the same as a Live Cd which u can use to boot from the cd and copy files etc

Hiren’s is a bootable cd as its name suggests, containing tons of useful tools which can be run directly from the booted cd.
