How to put subtitles on ipod movie

August 5th, 2016

Alright, just like the topic says, how can I put subtitles onto an .mp4 file? I have an mkv file with subtitles and all that stuff and i’ve tried to convert it to mp4 which it worked but no subtitles in it show up on my ipod. The movie is District 9 all i need is the alien subs is there a way i can convert the mkv to mp4 and get subs onto it in 1 file? Side question: can you put srt file with mp4 into itunes?
edit: should’ve specified its a 5.5g ipod video

Answer #1
Sorry i dont have time to look it up completely but this should givde you a head start:
try hardsubbing the srt into something like an avi – test it. then convert to mp4
Answer #2
If you convert with WinAVI (the movie and sub in the same folder) the converted file will be hardsubbed.
But I don’t know which program to use for MKV….
Answer #3
Sorenson Squeeze can do that mate. I’m using version 6.0.0.73 which has been properly cracked by CORE. Avoid any other version except CORE’s as this app is difficult to cure.
