Less than 4GB of RAM = x86 or 32bit OS
Equals/More than 4GB of RAM = x64 or 64bit OS

So depends on what purpose you want the system, if its for surfing and ordinary work than there is no need of 64bit, unless you want to run high performance programs than 64bit would be better, as long as it ahs more than 4gb ram..

Assuming you’re planning on installing Win 7 (64-bit version), the MINIMUM requirement is 2 GB RAM – go for the 32-bit edition.
