Win 7 to Vista? Comp wont let me downgrade?

August 5th, 2016

I want to wipe my computer of all info and put Vista back on it (Win 7 wont let me use touchpad on laptop) but when I do it says I can’t because it has my current OS on it, etc. But I only have about half the space free and can’t figure out how to get rid of all the extra crap thats hidden in it and thats why I want to format so I can get the whole HD off it.
Anyone have any idea at all how I can get all my 120 gigs (yea small laptop HD I know) and re-install Vista on it?

Hiren’s BootCD > Partition Tools > Acronis Disk Director…Format..Boot with your Vista DVD and install…

yeh there are plenty of ways to do that, but why might i ask you downgrade? windows 7 kicks vistas ass 1000 times

Did you try running the touchpad driver under Vista SP1 compatibility mode? And why not do reformat with Windows 7 CD? And once its wiped out you can insert Vista CD and install it fine, i presume. Otherwise you will need Hirens CD or even gParted to delete current partitions.

I realized I installed with a trial version back in the summer and the WGA crack didn’t work on my desktop so I don’t know if it’ll work for my laptop.
