Blue screen of death – Xp
May 24th, 2020
Can you boot in safe mode?
If your always getting the “BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH” I’m afraid all is loss. Don’t quote me though, a PC Engineer can sometimes work miracles.
what STOP code is it fixing the error may be easyer than recovering the data – maybe, dont quote me on that
Download an Ubuntu live disk iso and burn it to cd. This will boot your machine onto a linux desktop from where you will be able to get to and back up your files. Download it from here:

It will work fine.
But there is one another way. This is Erd Commander 2007. You should try it.

just read my guide below it deals with how to find out what caused the BSOD. Or go to My computer>right click>then the Advanced tab>under start-up and recovery click settings. From the new pop-up screen un-check auto restart under System failure. Then note down the code in the form of 0x
If none of the above works, and you want data recovery software, i highly recommend the following program, its saved my skin many times.
R-Studio Data Recovery (Network Edition)
I’ll up a copy of it if you want it.
lol a BSOD doesnt mean the pc is gonna die, if your worried then make a ghost image of the pc instead (with Norton Ghost) that way if something goes wrong you have an image to restore rather than looking for data again or starting fresh
Of course it doesnt mean its going to die, but i’ve seen a BSOD cause XP to not boot at all, and after trying to slave the HD the only option had been to recover the data using that program
sorry for my english its no so good i’m from greece.. anyway try to put your drive to another computer as a slave make a backup and take whatever you need.. and then make format windows.
it is simple…

that would probably be a last resort. An Ubuntu Live CD will allow you access to your file system (assumeing you didnt enable disk encryption) and copy them to a usb pen drive
the Ubuntu Live CD it is not fot unix linux etc? i heard it before but i have not figure it out what it does , i think now i got it. so yes propably will be a last resort ..
I had that too with my Media Center edition, I think your hard disk is dying ..
Thanks guys for your reply.. I’m sure one of them will work. will test them out. . . you guys rock ! !

ubuntu live cd is Ubuntu linux setup in such a way that it can be run from a cd without needing to be installed
