windows 7 reformat question
January 25th, 2020
You must not have formatted the drive before you installed Windows, you must have reinstalled the new OS on top of the old one.
Let me explain this clearly, I myself have re-installed W7 numerous times. Since you have KEPT your old files, that means you have installed in the C:/ drive (or whatever drive you had it previously installed it) and to install in that drive you MUST keep the old files. You can delete them if you want to though.

wat u mean??? im not good in this computer stuff as u notice lol. rev does it effect my new install??? in any way other then wasting space
I explained how it works in my previous post, so, post again if you have any problems with the explanation.
Well when you do a custom install it keeps a back up for you just in case you need anything. You can delete the windows.old folder if you want.
If you have Choosen Custom. You still Have to Format your Hard drive mate. You will get multiple options to format your drive.
Else BOTH the versions of windows 7 Will be installed on the same drive.
Try doing the installation again and this time, Do format your drive while the setup is running near custom install.
