internet settings constant resetting

everytime i turn my pc off and back on, the default gateway resets, after which, i need to put the default gateway back in. is there anyway to stop this?

not exactly helpful, if i really found it a problem, i would have reformatted, your answer was extreamly vague and absolutely no help

Uninstall and reinstall the network card.
