HDMI no audio

I have a Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H mother board with on board video (Nvidia 9400) and on board audio (Realtek High Definiton). The HDMI video works fine, but their is no HDMI audio? I see their is a digital out and in, but nothing about HDMI in the Realtek manager? I think I’m missing a connection? Their is a SPDIF connection on the mother board with nothing connected to it?

I believe most motherboards with integrated HDMI only provide video, you’ll have to use an aux cable from your motherboard to your monitor for audio to work.

The problem, I believe is the HDMI audio device is not in the controlpanel/sound/playback window. It needs to be selected. This is a common problem with HDMI when using a GPU with no integrated audio controller.
