Which drive should be my primary?

August 5th, 2016

Hi,
I’ll be buying a terrabyte soon. I’ll be getting the Spinpoint F3 as I’ve heard good stuff about it. I also have two other hard drives.
Altogether they are(after I buy the 1tb):
-1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3 SATA II
-250gb Maxtor SATA II hard drive
-60gb IDE Seagate hard drive.
First question is should I even keep the 60gb in my case or should I get an enclosure and make it an external hdd? Second question is which one should be my primary where I install the OS and if so should I partition a small section of it for the OS or just leave it as a whole?
I was thinking that I’d make the Maxtor the primary one and put all the and program files onto the 1tb because if the system were to eff up, I could wipe the 250gb after I backup my files to the 1tb.
Suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Think that’s a pretty good idea.
250GB is more than enough space for an OS + any programs you’d want to install, and the 1TB HDD will serve as a nice amount of storage.
