Help wirh High CPU Temperatures

Hello, have a big Problem with my PC. It crashes everytime while i use AV to scan or play Games. I mean i use Photoshop and Cinema and it works very good, but after i play 5 Minutes Counterstrike or PES my Computer crashes? CS1.6 can be played on a Comodore 64 without problem. Also with Antivirus, while should i use it, when it crashing everytime when i try to scan my pc?
The CPU Temperatures raises till 125’C and thats the maximum, then the sounds inside my Pc became loud “working” and it Crashes, totaly turning off.
1. Normal, without stressing my PC, just staying on desktop

The CPU is DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+
The MB is Asus M2N-SLI Do you have any idea what is going on? How do I get rid of this?

Are the fans in your computer working specially the one over the processor?

Yes, bcos the Temperature in “Normal” is at 30�C.

Maybe try reapplying the heat paste between cpu and fan. Especially if the fan has previously been removed without doing so.

Remove Heatsink, clean it from dust, apply new thermal paste , and clean fans…. And that is not normal in any possible way! 100C you will melt down your CPU

YES! Thats really my prob. I allready was cleaning my CPU&Fan and removed the Paste i would be bow the wolrd greatest if that paste isnt cheap idiot :X

That looks like an incorrect reading. Try CoreTemp. No CPU can survive at 113C for very long

Yeah mate, after like around 65 degrees on some motherboards, automatic shutdown.

Also check that the micro is firmly placed. I had temp problems a while ago, and it was because one of the four holders wasnt firmly placed.

may seem silly and obvious but is your heatsink on properly and is there dust on the heatsink etc, and if your reapplying thermal paste you will need pure alcohol to clean the crap off.

CoreTemp Protool? Thanks! But i dont want to try it anymore I allready buyed the Paste and will wait for it. After that, Installation No.1.

Well that could be also my problem, i was removing the Fan and cleaning it, maybe i didnt put it correctly back. Will check it out while reapplying Paste, becouse im use i removed it becouse it was “dirty” stupid
