Problems when Firefox is on IDM speeds crash very low

i loved the function that it extracted rars as soon as downloaded archives
JDownloader a couple years ago i gave it a quick try but didnt give myself time to really get to grips with it , if i remember it was a pig to configue on install.
Only other Manager ive used is IDM and thats now what ive been using for some time
its fast , its easy, cool toolbars to change apprearence BUT
im unsure if its the latest builds and maybe theyll be fixed but if im using firefox my speeds on IDM come to a crawl
close FF and my speeds shoot straight back up to what its capable of.
any advice, anyone had the problem and fixed it
or is there a DM out there i should maybe try ?
BUT it must be safe, safe to hold all my pre account details
there must be alot Download Manager users with quite a bit experience
please give me some answers, tips, recommendations

I didn’t quite really understand ur problem. Is it IDM that slows when using ff? if so then u must be browsing using ff that matches the full speed i guess. Use speed Limiter incase of fixed speed.
maybe some of your ff plugins are the problem so disable some & see
i had the same problem what i did was tried out all the download managers out n checked which one gave me da best speed i tried IDM my speeds a like dial-up speed then i tried internet download accelerator and bam speed was back to what it used to be…..
