Any FREE way of converting mkv files to avi?

So that I can burn to disc. After searching on the net I can’t find one that will convert a full file or do so sans watermark?

All of the trials I’ve used require a key. I assume that’s unique.

River Past Video Cleaaner Pro, Of course there is no need to transcode unless your trying to playback on an old DVD player, MKV2VOB or TSMuxer wil mux to mainstream containers like mpg mp4 or M2TS.
