Converting mkv files?

What are you guys using to convert your mkv files to avi so you can watch them on your dvd player?

Your best solution would be to buy a player for mkv files. Anyway, try staxrip.

Quite alot of people nowadays are, using MediaPlayers and play the MKV straight from that to the TV.
I use a Sony Blu-Ray Player Home Theater system thing. That plays all my MKV’s.

I stream my Blu-ray 720p mkv movies on my xbox 360 using the latest PS3 Media Server and its working GREAT!

I use the media player in my sig, and Sumvision ones, you don’t need to convert any files.

mkv converter Work great.My HD Handicap give mkv file so i use mkv converter and convert mkv to avi

For your current situation, you can use Freemake Video Converter, especially if your DVD player plays AVI files..
It can also convert to full DVD standard if required.

I know this one works

to convert MKV i use mkv2vob. only because its quick and works well on playstations
i also use handbrake.
