a pretty simple question!
Answer #2
It won’t blacklist it…But you might get this key is already in use…
Answer #3
I think OEM licenses are for three PC’s. So you’re safe.
Answer #4
OEM license is for the computer that been supplied with the OS only…
Answer #5
I know that. My friend bought an HP laptop with that license. He could install it on three different machines and everything worked out correctly.
Answer #6
Yes you can get away with it…But you run the risk of blacklisting the key…Microsoft fixed it in Vista..The OEM key have to match The Bios ID…
Answer #7
whats that? bios ID?
and what about the 3 computer limit?
are you sure? cuz im using VMware for virtual PC…
(P.S. if i want to sell computers should i just install vista ultimate on all of them without the key making it a 2 month activation trial? what im doing is legal right?)

Yea…That’s a smart move..
Answer #9
Google your product key. HP, Dell, Fujistu (etc) all have a couple of keys circulating that they use. If your key comes up in even one of the results, then it’s fine

Who the hell told you OEM license is for 3 PCs. It depends on what you have buy for how many users. Windows OEM is only for one PCs and you can’t install this more than. Suppose your machine was destroyed by the robots and you want to install this on another machine, simple contact the microsoft so they will provide you the new serial number and that old SN will blocked.
Answer #11
as for the OEM licensing, I know it’s only supposed to work on one motherboard, but I’ve changed motherboards three times with the same key now without problem by using phone activation. it also ran on a second machine (a virtual one even, on a different mobo) for a while & I didn’t have any problems. I did had a lot of problems while using the automatic activation. so the best hint I can give you is to use phone activation.
Answer #12
lol you guys didnt quite answer my question…
“im thinking of reformatting soon and i want to make a virtual machine using the same legit key with the OEM thingie… will this blacklist my key as pirated?”
Answer #13
you guys are crazy, just use the phone activation and say its your first time installing it and its on one pc.. problem solved
Answer #14
If its on the same computer it shouldnt blacklist it. If it does you can do the phone activation. Otherwise dont sweat it, you are in WBB you can download any OS here and if that dont work there is linux.
Answer #15
1, I dont think it will get blacklisted
2. buy a new license
Answer #16
well i want to do a virtual machine first….. are you POSISTIVE it wont get blacklisted…. and okay… ima try right now.
Answer #17
On the law’s side you are aloud to install OEM windows only on the machine you got it with (if you buy a new one you are suposed to buy new windows).
is correct, if you don’t mess the phone activation up you wont even get to a human..
