Problem connecting Gmail with my mobile phone

Then i try to set my mobile phone up with gmail, through the website posted below, it gives me the following problems.
http://www.google.com/intl/en_CA/mobile/default/mail.html
When i enter this website m.google.com/mail and enter my cell number it tell me that i have entered an invalid phone number, and
when i go to my cells internet and enter the following url, a page comes up and tell me the following…
I am unable to connect with gmail using my LG260…bla bla bal
Additional Phone Information
I have the LG260, which is the new LG RUMOR.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening, and what i can do to fix it.

I have the same problem connecting to gmail with my phone, I think some phone providers may block it. I can’t connect to google reader and a few other services on my phone. Try this, you can access your gmail with it http://www.emoze.com/en/about/what-do-I-get.asp
