Windows XP Dual Boot = NTLDR is Missing

I’m having some trouble dual booting Windows XP on my laptop that was pre-installed with Windows 7, When I re-ran the repair console for Windows 7 I am now unable to get into XP because I get the “NTLDR is missing” error message, I dont really know how to fix the error any help? I’ve tried using EasyBCD to re-arrange the drives but it’s not helping

thanks, but that isnt showing me how to fix NTLDR is missing error, just showing me how to normally dual boot, ive already tried using EasyBCD to fix the problem but it isnt helping

Get Hiren’s BootCD (latest version). It got a one click fix for the NTLDR error

you try a win7 startup repair with the win7 disk (full or System Repair Disc)

Nope, had the same problem myself. EasyBCD didn’t help. I didn’t resolve it so afraid I can’t help.

i had the same error on another computer
try googling it, there’s a solution i ‘m sure; because i solved that problem but that was a while ago.
i’ll post it here (later) if i can find it

but a 7 startup repair might find all entries in his bootloader and repair them because 7 controls XP’s boot in dual boot setups

This is quite a common problem which I ran into myself and I managed to use Paragon Partition Manger to somehow get into it after I had no success with the Windows 7 repair disc (there’s an option to install a boot menu). Sadly though this only worked because I was able to boot up to a different OS on a separate drive which you might not be able to do unless it’s on Hiren’s CD or some other CD/DVD. Please let us know how you get on as many solution are always posted for this but once someone gets their system to work they forget to mention which of the solutions worked…
