How do I completely change names for administrator

January 28th, 2020

This should explain it all , I want the whole windows vista laptop to be
under my name ” Junior “. When this laptop was first bought , it was named ” May ” and I wanted to change it but
HOW?

Do I have to do a system restore or something like wipe out the whole account and start all over ( updating , file copying and crap ? )

Answer #1
I presume “Change your account name”, as shown in that screenshot, doesn’t work?
Edit: sorry I think I misunderstood. So your account name has been changed, but it still shows as “May” in the folders?
Answer #2
click on change acount name….. its in the picture
Answer #3
in user accounts “change account name”
Answer #4
if you change the account name the folder will always have the name May (C:\Users\May)
you need to make a new account with the name Junior, then delete the may account.
Manage another account > Create a new account
Answer #5
Its already been done that!
It just shows the folders for may and the task manger >user>may
Answer #6
that’s because you are logged in as May.
also be sure to back up any data because it will give you the choice to delete all the data from C:\Users\May
