Windows 7 beta

Hey, I really wanna try Windows 7. I found a link to the beta on these forums, but my laptop did not come with a cd with vista on it. It just came pre-installed. So, would I be able to just put windows 7 on a disk and run it from there? Since I would like to be able to quickly go back to vista if something goes wrong or I just simply do not like it.

just use the program vmware to test it so if something goes wrong all you have to do is uninstall vmware
