World Of Warcraft – Help with private servers

August 4th, 2016

hi, im am considering getting into world of warcraft and i am just to sign up for my 10 day free trial. Ive looked around and i came across some topics saying that with private servers i can play for free. Can someone answer a few questions about this for me?
1. Can i still level up on a private server the same way i would on normal servers?
2. Are private servers illegal?
3. Can i play with my friends on the private server provided they are on the that same server?
4. How can i find a good private server?
Thanks for any help you can give me

1) depends what server you join, some servers have fun servers where you level up fast, others have servers similiar to original wow.
2) Yes, but only the host will get done for it
3) Yes
4) http://www.wowstatus.net/menu_list.php

Best server Ive played on was wowscape which had 27k+ ppl online at one time on four different servers. They’ve changed their name to scapegaming but I’m not sure if theyre still as good.
The xtreme top 100 is the best bet to find best servers
EDIT:
Just found out Wowscape, Toxic WOW, and Burning WOW (Top 3 servers) got shut down by blizzard.
Play the original because 1) Its much better 2) To avoid disappointment when ur fav server goes down.

oh i just thought of another question and it would be great if someone could answer this.
Can i use a private server with just my 10 free trial, or do i have to buy the full game?
If i am required to have the full game, am i able to just download it from ?
Answer #3
1) Yes
2) Yes even for you as the client. In the EULA for WoW, it states that you won’t connect to a third party server.
3) Yes

The whole point of a private server is to play for free. Free trial is only for the original wow.

When you download the trial version your actually downloading the full game but your account is a trial account. When you buy the game, you enter the CD key online and then pay monthly installments to play.
If you download the expansion, you will not be able to play on the original WOW because this will require you to enter another key to your account, however you can play on the private servers.

Afraid not
The private servers aren’t condoned by or linked to Blizzard, so you can’t transfer characters. Wish you could though! I had some good private server characters back in the day!
