PS3 Slim Backwards Compatability?

July 26th, 2016

I’m thinking of purchasing a PS3 Slim in America and I’m wondering if it can play PS2 games. I’m aware that the phat version of the PS3 has backward compatibility, but I don’t think they sell them at stores anymore and I’m not sure where to buy one at a trusty source.
BUT my main question for the PS3 Slim is that can you download PS2 and PS3 games at the PSN Store so I can play them? I guess that’s another reason why I should buy a big HDD.

Backwards capability is unrealistic for PS3.
So the newest one has PS2 capability taken out and the Linux option. The PS classics ain’t so bad.

You know that’s a interesting question. If ps3 slim has no backwards comparability with ps2 games, even if you download them from the psn store it still shouldn’t work, or should it?
