[SOLVED] Not finding ‘Scanners and Cameras’ in Control Panel

August 7th, 2016

Hi, I recently install Micro XP(100mb) on my desktop pc
now i am getting problem with my wifi dongle and my webcam..
the driver install correctly, but can’t use them… for the wi-fi dongle it is ok..
the problem is the webcam, the driver install but an error at the end of the process, i install it on another pc and it is fine..
I think that the manager ‘Scanners and Cameras’ is not present in control panel this is why i am unable to use my webcam..
any way to install this option seperately? or do i need to reinstall an untouched Windows to get it solved? thanks in advance
SOLVED BY : Reinstalling Windows

I think you just have to install a fresh Windows XP SP3 version, or reinstall the webcam driver and use Driver Genius to find missing driver

Because some people doesn’t have much RAM so they use MicroXP or TinyXP for faster speed

Because some people doesn't have much RAM so they use MicroXP or TinyXP for faster speedLol removing stuff like cameras and scanners don’t have any impact on performance. It just becomes a nuisance not having it

But languages has been taken out that you don’t need to have more spaces, I am using TinyXP on my old computer that has 1GB RAM and it runs smooth

i have done it but in vain, i enable the cameras from another pc with an untouched Windows, maybe the ‘scanners and cameras’ manager missing make that happen
@D r e a M; some people really do not have ram or even enough Mhz to run Ms windows and all its services with it..
Thanks to you D r e a M and for the replies

Only English is installed by default and the rest requires you to use the CD afterward to install them. Even if they’re installed they don’t cause any negative performance impact. Pretty much all the ‘wow’ performance you see with all these stripped down versions of Windows are due to the disabled few services and the disabled Window animations. You can do the same with a vanilla install or even tailor one to your needs if need be. Search for nLite and make one yourself. It’s not hard at all
