Can you join movies….

January 28th, 2020

If they are Avi’s..
eg..a movie in two parts..
Cd1 and Cd2…
Avidemux (freeware)..
http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/download.html
This works best for re-joining a video that was split up, as all the video parts need to have the same frame size/rates/formating.
1) Get and run AVIdemux, it’s 100% free.
*Check the Video and Audio settings right there in the main window and make sure they are set to Copy, also the Format should be the same as the original.
2) In the toolbar, go to File > Open and point to your 1st video part and open it.
*If it ever asks to build a VBR Time Map or to rebuild the frames, just choose yes and let it do it’s thing.
3) Next, in the toolbar, go to File > Append and point to your 2nd video part and open it.
*If you have more parts, just repeat this step and so on.
4) Now, in the toolbar, go to Save > and choose Save Video.
*When it asks you where you want your video, point to where you want it to go and enter a name with the .avi file extention on it too.
*When it asks you about Smart Copy, just choose yes.
*When it asks you about Q factor, just leave it at 4 and choose OK. The Q factor 4 just means that it will target a lossless copy.
5) Now it will encode/join the video. When it’s done, check it out, if all is proper you can delete the original video parts and your good to go.
just used this method to “join” Knowing.
