HDD Problem

i recently purchase a new WD HDD 500 GB, it took me hours to formate & install an OS. I check for bad sector and found 24 bad sectors in it , than i request for replacement to the dealer but they denie saying as it is working, now i want the HDD more harm so that i can ask for replacement, help me , i try to repair the bad sector but it appear again after another formatting, thanks in advance

in uk its sometimes best to return to maker rather than seller visit their site and check if you can do that

Stick it in the Microwave on a cold setting for a few seconds. It shouldn’t damage the exterior but should damage the inside.
If you got it from a shop and it’s still within 28 days of purchase you should be able to go back and get a refund. If it’s still within the year they may be able to offer a replacement (I work at Currys and we probably would).
