Ram/Motherboard compatibility question

August 5th, 2013

I have an old Asus P5WDH motherboard with Intel Core2 2.66 processor that i’m giving to my wife so that she isn’t constantly screwing up my system.
i’m going to put Windows 7 on it
here’s my question.
I have four 1GB memory sticks.
2 of them are Corsair CM2X1024-6400C4DHX 4-4-4-12 2.1v
2 of them are ADATA Premier Series DDR2 6400 5-5-5-18 1.8v
I put all 4 of them on the motherboard and it fired right up.
what memory settings in the BIOS should I use to get the most out of this mix?
thanks for your help and comments

You don’t really have to do anything for on general usage.
You will get more memory bandwidth if you do some tweaking, but your mixing memory.
All the settings reflect all memory modules at the same time, so I don’t suggest doing anything.
Not noticeable improvements if your misses is just going to use it for internet browsing for instance.
