Need help extracting .exe file

January 28th, 2020

I’ve been banging my head and googling for two days, but I have not been able to figure this one out. I am going to be using nLite to make a slipstream install of XP Home. To incorporate the chipset drivers, I need to extract the .exe file of my drivers to another folder and point nLite to the .inf file in that folder. I have tried using WinRar, Universal Extractor, WinImage, and PowerArchiver but nothing has worked . The only program that seems to have been able to do anything is PowerArchiver – it managed to extract a folder named “Lang” and in it were 27 .dll Language files, that’s all . That folder was 700+ kbs. The .exe file itself is 2.3 mbs. If anyone could provide me with some magical assistance, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your time and help .
The following link is for the chipset drivers:

Answer #1
empty temp folder (%temp% into a run box)
get the file
start the installer
then check your temp files for the extracted content
also look in the windows/inf folder for a intel or OEM inf file
that dun work get a late version of tinyXP from appz section and see if the files are in there
think tiny has a late version of chipset driver files and the last nLite ini or inf file
some ideas but never tried either
