Notepad file opens on startup
August 6th, 2016
So now, everytime I startup my laptop and login, a notepard file opens up with a bunch passwords for p0rn sites.
I’ve tried using CCleaner to see if it is a startup file, but it doesnt seem to be.
Any ideas?
I guess you could just delete the said text file.
If any of the content is of interest, copy it to somewhere else.
System restore to before you lent it to him if you can.
I’ve tried system restore, but that hasn’t fixed it.
Also, I don’t have a clue where that file is, so I can’t delete it. I’ve tried simply deleting the contents of it and pressing ‘save’ but they re-appear on my next restart.
Maybe u need full scan with malware bytes
off topic did u ask ur freind these naughty passwords pop up when ever I start my laptop since u took it lol
When it’s open, click on ‘save as’.
You don’t need to actually save it as anything, but this should reveal where it’s located.
Right click on it and Properties should tell you where it is.
And as suggests, do a complete scan with your anti virus software.
Can you go to RUN -> MSCONFIG -> Startup and see if he has hooked up something?
