Drive opens in a new window

Hi…..i have 160 GB fixed hard disk and have 3 partitions.the problem is that when i open any one of them, it does not open in the same window,but in a separate window.i have same problem with my portable hard disk.i have tried it on different PCs but to no avail
i have tried formatting the drive but the problem still persists.is this some sort of virus although i have used 3 or 4 types of antiviruses but they don’t detect any virus in my hard drives.

It’s nothing but virus mate.I had this problem before.
Just reformat your entire HDD (all partitions) and if you have Internet cable plugged to your cabinet,pull that out before formatting.
Use Good antivirus,anti-spyware and firewall.

what should i do with loads of data that i had put in them????
by formatting all drives u mean to say that i delete the partitions and remake them.or just format them one by one????

Take Back up and then format.

Okey here is it :::
Open CMD (type CMD in RUN and press enter).
To change drive (e.g. D, type D: and press enter.
Now you are on D:\>
type attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf and press enter
type del autorun.inf and pres enter.
Open my computer and rename the D: drive to something like aaaa
Rename it again to its previous name (or not)
Double click on D:
