Bootable USB, and the dang bootsect.exe.mui

February 7th, 2018

Hey I am currently doing a bootable win7 pro usb installer
Ive downloaded the Window 7 Pro ISO here:
http://msft-dnl.digitalrivercontent.net/msvista/pub/X15-65805/X15-65805.iso
I have followed every single step in these sites:
http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-install-windows-7vista-from-usb-drive-detailed-100-working-guide/
http://www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos/how_to_install_windows_7_beta_a_usb_key?page=0,1
and after the command line steps, and the copying step of win7 ISO, into the USB drive.
The file “Bootsect.exe.mui” creates an error of not being copied to the USB.
Ive used, PowerIso, Magic Disc, Winrar, wintoflash and flashboot. can someone pinpoint the problem to me?? is it the iso?? the steps? or is it just me Help is much appreciated by those are having the same prob as me.

Use the Microsoft Windows 7 USB tool, install then use it to copy your Win 7 installation to USB

used this method ^^ to build my drive
don’t think you need “Bootsect.exe.mui” on the USB drive
———————————
in my “boot” folder
bcd
boot.sdi
bootfix.bin
and in my “sources’ folder
BOOTMGR
BOOT.WIM
———————————
those are the only necessary folders & files
BOOT.WIM – is the actual disk contents
I move 3 diff “BOOT.WIM” files around the flash drive into the “boot” folder to boot diff versions “Bootsect.exe.mui” is the Multilingual User Interface (mui)
