Ipod Touch 1 Generaition Wi-Fi Problem

My ipod touch wifi is greyed out what should i do everything is working fine except wifi ….
My IOS version is 3.1.3

erm…..only thing i can suggest right now is a complete restore, and see if the problem persists
was the wi-fi working fine before? did it just recently develop this problem?
