sims 3 help

hey guys. ive got the original sims 3, (my daughters) and wondering if i download an expansion pack, how it works, how to do it, and does it wipe over the one shes already using, the standard one? how does it work> id like to get her an expansion pack or two , perhaps the katy perry one,
if someone knows of a link?

i think you`ll need to buy its expansion pack from origin … coz i think it wont work if you downloaded it from here as you have original sims 3… anyway..
expansion packs adds items to the games. features, etc etc.. and it will combine with other expansion packs including ur original sims 3.
( im not sure.. coz i only have sims 3 edition. xD
