I suffer from a problem which is my pc is reacting slow , for example when i play a game some times the sound comes in a lag way also the OS sometimes performs slowly for example when i open a drive it takes time before it opens
i generally use the PC in office kinda stuff watching movies, play small games etc.. so i don’t need a very good PC so there’s my system information
intel celeron d cpu 3.06ghz cache 512
memory 1 gb
motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L rev. 1.x

Id say don’t bother wasting money on such an old computer, bin it and build a new one with a SSD

Might be the hard drive going bad, give it a check with HD Sentinel

when i open a drive it takes time before it opens
?? is that Local Disk right ? or optical drive? if optical drive.. there is a small hole… get some clips and push it until it comes out.

Seems like you’re having problems with your outdated computer. It could be anything really, you can hardly tell with older components unless you test them one by one. If you’re having problems during hard load on your PC, try cleaning it up. That should be your first action and I don’t mean with a moist cloth or your mother’s vacuum cleaner. If you don’t have any proper tools at home, take it to your local shop to clean it up.
First scan it for malware and stop any unnecessary programs or services and see if that has any impact on your gaming.
You will ideally have two computers at home. If not, ask a friend to come by with his box for an hours or so. That is going to help you determine what’s going on. Disconnect your HDD and test it with another computer, if the HDD is working slow or making weird noises as if it’s going to die from a little pressure, there’s your problem.
Next I would test the PSU. A lot of times PSU will cause problems, especially if it’s a less powerful one, those die quickly.
The last thing you can do is check the RAM, although I very much doubt RAM is the problem.
If everything passes the test, it’s most probably the motherboard and no re-installation of Windows will solve your problem. That’s all you can do on your own at home. I would suggest buying a new PC and saving your data as soon as possible. You never know with these things, one failed component can destroy others connected to it, so be careful.

could be many things.
dying HDD, high temps, corrupt OS
id test the HDD first and the temps (and dust!) if the HDD is fine and temps are fine then a format would be wise. i dont think a bad PSU or RAM is in question as those usually lead to a BSOD.
thought i agree with the pc is outdated and every game out in this day n age is gonna be a struggle for you PC

Could be a ton of things, best to upgrade instead of wasting time on an old machine.

Computer games dont affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, wed all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music.
