Backing Up Internet Cookies For O.S. Re-Install.
August 6th, 2016
I am planning to do a full O/S backup restore ( With my Acronis Disk Image software) of the C:/Drive shortly, which would restore my drive to a state where as both mentioned accounts would have not even existed.
Is there anyway to backup all my cookies for Firefox an Chrome, an reapply them back to my browsers after I do my restore?
Or is that even possible?
I’ve have had both accounts for months, an being that I’ve never logged out of them or deleted my browsers histories for above mentioned browsers they have worked fine, but after I restore my system an try to re-enter the log in info for the Hulu/NetFlix accounts they will be inaccessible.
acronis true image can back up disk, partition, folders, and files.
Search for the files you need and back up with True Image
but if I log out of the accounts or delete the browsers histories of the browsers I am using them in, both accounts will become non usable an I will not be able to log back into said accounts.
This doesn’t make sense to me. If you know what your log-in credentials are, There’s no
reason why it wouldn’t work!

You could backup your entire profile (Which includes everything basically, Cookies too)
To determine the FF profile folder, On the menus, Click on Help>Troubleshooting Information, Then under Application Basics click on the Show Folder button (Which will open the profile folder) For Chrome, Just do a search for favicons-journal

That’s what I thought too, But then I read this part of his post”

So I’m not really sure what the issue is.

I’ve read that as what they think will happen and that’s why asking about saving cookies. Why on earth would you need to stay logged in to an account for months for. I see no other reason.
EDIT: Or passwords may not be known for various reasons. Don’t get me wrong, i’m in no way judging here, just giving an opinion on what was posted

That’s exactly what it is, a shared cookie account.
I Should have mentioned that in the header of my thread.

Thanx … by the way, love the new Avatar an siggy
Suites you well
Question: which files an folders would be advisable to backup with Acronis so they could be re-applied to my restored partition, after I’ve restored the state of my C:Drive with Acronis. My stored C:\Drive backup image does not contain the current versions of FireFox nor Google Chrome, which are the two browsers I would like to save an restore the cookies from.
When I usually use Acronis, I use backup the entire drive partion rather than files or folders, so how would I so about backing up said files for said browsers so they can be re-applied so it’s as if my restored partition has the same updated browser versions of my current partition.

They are not a legitimate accounts (per say) , thou… I have the log in info for these accounts, if I were to log out of them, they would be unusable an even if I tried to re-enter the same info for the mentioned (Netflix/Hulu) accounts, they wont be accessible.
Dude, You really need to get your eyes checked!
You clearly missed out on my first reply, In which I’ve explained what
you should backup. No need for Acronis or any other app, It’s a simple copy & paste job.

Planning on backing up my Fire Fox cookies for a full system restore with my imaging program.
Hope this works out Thanx Roberto
MozBackup for Firefox, it keeps whatever you want, save the backup wherever you want, do a clean install of OS, reinstall Firefox then reinstall Mozbackup and restore all your Firefox settings (takes seconds to install and restore).

Thanx fellow wolf! One question which version of Mozbackup would you recommend. I believe I just downloaded an checked out the portable version.
I’ve been using version 1.5.1 for some time and had no problems.
