[SOLVED] HDD from DVR, partitioned? How to fix?

January 29th, 2020

Hello all. I got a HDD from an old DVR I had and when I connected it to my computer via SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 adapter, I got these 2 drives:

I guess that the HDD was partitioned into 2? Anyways, I formatted both sides, and now I cant use the HDD. Every time I connect it, it tells me I have to format. Even if I do format, it still wont work, it just says I have to format over and over.
Now, is there a way to make this HDD 1 again instead of 2 parts? Maybe that will fix my issue?
Thanks.

Have you attacked it with Disk Management ? Then you should see better as to what you got..
That should let you delete the drives into unallotted space.
Then you can make a drive out of that , format it and give it a letter..

Plain and simple… Thanks 100% worked. Just deleted the partitions, both, the drive merged together, then format…..
Thanks.
