Answer #1
why dont you just compare the P5K SE/EPU with your current model of the P5K Series , then you have alle the differences.
Besides, if replacing a P5K with a P5K , the features are the ones that differes, i.e. onboard LAN connections, SATA Adapters , etc. Chipset and bridges should be the same

Why not look around Ebay for cheapest suitable mobo you can find in a suitable LGA775 for your CPU….Not worth lashing out for something new in 5+ year old technology, even if you could still buy it !
Mobos usually cease production when they get superseded..
Some suitable Asus at the bottom of this page..

Otherwise consider a real upgrade..

i found one locally, its the one im putting in, it saves me reinstalling everything withdrivers etc. cant be bothered with doing all that im just putting a 3.0ghz dual core on the board, but
apparantly the new one is not full ATX which has me confused as to if its got the same power? i have no idea apart from thinking it means its smaller?
Answer #4
both are ATX just one is 12 x 7.5 and the other is 12 x 9.6
I think it’s a typo because the metric measurements are identical
the south bridge controller is different but it should just be a driver update
Answer #5
It’s just a smaller version of the motherboard. Everything should function similarly
The only difference should be less overclocking potential, fewer sata ports, fewer ram slots, etc…
Answer #6
thanks guys, i like the way it functions , and was worried id get less performance.wee bit of a pain really, as the only thing being wrong wiht mine is the power switch on the board if its left plugged in it becomes unstable if you plug the pin in to turn it on and remove it its fine
