Suggestions bandwidth monitor/wireless data usage, W7 64

August 7th, 2016

Multiple threads about this on forum from before but new software coming out and also some have problem with Windows 7 64 bit.
My situation: DOn’t know the technical terms but have a wireless modem and three people sharing it and there is a 200 gigs a month limit on it. I need to know how much data is being used. I use more than the rest I’m sure, cause I”m home all day, so even if can’t figure out how much for every body, I’m more than happy just to measure how much data use just for myself.
I’ve heard of these:
Bitmeter2 Watchwan

Based on threads here posted here that have software to share:
Bandwidth Monitor 3.1.679 (know nothing about it but was first search result and has a few replies)
And a thread from three years ago here people made these suggestions:
Du Meter
Net Meter
bandwidth meter pro

Tomato Firmware
BWmeter

Care to make more updated suggestions and/or help me decide from these options? I’m a tech newbie so dumb it down for me.
Thanks a lot!

Answer #3
since your internet is shared wirelessly, I would monitor your router so that
you capture all of the users internet.
Depending on your router, “Tomato” firmware is very popular.
Some of the others mentioned you would need to install of each users internet.
And I don’t think you want to track user by user do you? but the monthly total?
Answer #4
Right, monthly total, thanks Tooth!
