how to decompress exe file

I have an .exe file and i want to see its content . I used before winrar to decompress the file ( right click and ‘ open with winrar ) but now i have another .exe file which doesnt give me this option. why ? any possibility please ?

The one you saw the contents of was probably a self extracting .exe.
Normal .exe files contain only programing stuff. Nothing that can be easily deciphered…
You could try Universal Extractor to see if you can find anything in your files.
