Answer #1
So you are recording from a separate mic but the built-in one still records too ? also from where did you disable the built-in mic , control panel or audio driver ?
Answer #2
i opened the volume mixer disabled it there (win 7) recording from the mic input socket from my mixer wired to my turntables
appreciate reply
Answer #3
To be honest i don’t know how this “turntables” works , but since you know about it , is it possible that this device is the one catching the outside noise ( i myself don’t think so) ?
Just to make sure put a little tape on the built-in mic hole to cover it up (make sure the hole is completely covered) and see if the noise still exist .

Audacity & Onboard audio for recording your “mixes”?!!? Haha!
I’m sorry, But that is beyond ridicules. Audacity is made strictly for amateur level audio editing (It sucks for anything else) And onboard/consumer grade sound cards are NOT made for professional recording. If you’re not gonna do your homework and invest money in the right hardware/software, You might as well find yourself a new hobby!
