Looking for a online unlimited Cloud Storage with encryption

August 7th, 2016

I am looking to purchase a online cloud storage. I do not want to use Dropbox, OneDrive Or Google drive.
My ideal cloud storage should fulfill these requirements:
– Unlimited backup with no limit (at least 10 TB+)
– Great upload speed to their servers.
– Has strong file encryption.
– Good yearly price plan
– Great Customer support
– Compatible on all phones, including iPhone, Android & Windows phone.
– Can use on multiple PC
– Enables folder-like drag and drop functionality ( like a windows folder)
– Can upload 2GB+ in single instance
– Allows multiple files to be uploaded
– Does regular automatic backup to cloud of selected files
If anyone has any recommendations, that they have personally tried and tested and found to have great speed, reliability and great customer support then please do let me know.

The only thing I can imagine will meet all of your needs is to buy your own VPS or a dedicated hosting plan. SpikerOak (I’ve heard ok things about service) has a plan “coming soon” that would be $900/yr giving you unlimited storage / bandwidth /endpoint devices. ($900 being $60 per user x 10 min + $300 for the server). Supports phones. All data is encrypted at the device level so they have no idea or access to it.
Not sure if $900 is within your budget, but it’s certainly less expensive than DYI options.

The cloud storage i require is not for business use but for home use only. I just need it to make backup and share files with family/friends. I have been researching and these to cloud storage look good and offer good price: justcloud.com and carbonite.com
has anyone tried them?

The problem I have with both of these services is two fold: Who are they? You are trusting your data with them. Secondly, how long will they be around?
Carbonite for 500G of storage is $600/yr! Expensive with no track record really.
Your requirements included “Unlimited backup with no limit (at least 10 TB+)” – not gonna happen with either of these hosts.
