Downloading in Germany

Hello everyone.
I have a small concern regarding downloading through this website in Germany. I moved to Germany in August and where I live is legal to download for personal use, you can not show it to public or share. But you can download.
I always heard that if you use torrents in Germany you are screwed because you are uploading and some scamming companies send you a letter to pay a fine.
But I didn’t understand if it is really secure to download from direct links, like on this website. Can anyone that understands better the downloading in Germany, explain me if I can continue to download in here or should I stick to streaming?

get yourself a debrid account and STAY AWAY from torrents. trust me, I know.

Just use a vpn service like I do.
Not trying to promote, but the service I use has an IP in Germany, France, Netherlands, UK etc and I always connect when downloading and actually use the German IP and I’m in France.
Send me a PM and I will tell you who I use. They are fast , cheap and no logs are kept.
Its the only way to be safe.

Yeah, I know torrents are like cancer. You get caught easily. But through direct links like on this website, is it safe? I didn’t understand if it was safe when I searched on the web. That’s why I wanted some Germans people or people living on Germany for a long time to tell me that.

Can you explain me how you do it?
Actually I would like a VPN for Portugal, my native country, that way I could see some Portuguese shows on the Portuguese websites.
Through vpn’s is even more safe? Even through direct links?
In Portugal we don’t do anything like this. No one gives a rats ass if you download or upload. Actually is like a paradise for this kind of things.
