Ripping BBC Iplayer

Could someone help please in ripping video from BBC Iplayer
so far i have tried Replay Media Catcher which rips most things for me but it wont do Iplayer because of a secured stream
have also downloaded Iplayer desktop which lets you download the protected file (wont play in VLC) and tried Media Converter Pro which is still trying ( not started just saying please wait) to convert the file after 30 mins.
Am i going to have to download and convert using a different converter (if so please reccomend) or is there a way to rip from Iplayer without protection

It has DRM so no you cannot rip it. It’s meant to be that way to limit playback. It’s why I never bother with iPlayer, I would rather d/l a scene rip when available.

Yup – it’s DRM, I think the files are time protected to 30 days or something similar

just tried it with IDM, downloads a file but its only audio, so ermm, i gets thats no good.

Until recently I was using get_iplayer to rip bbc streams. No idea how well it works on windows though as I have only ever used it on linux:

Ill give that a try tawny_owl, luckily enough iv dual booted my pc with linux lol
