Help me choose a Gaming Monitor

January 25th, 2020

Hello guys, recently I decided to build a gaming computer and with the help of the members from the forum ,and especially “”, I managed to build a pretty great configuration which you can check here:
https://www..org/viewtopic.php?t=21691271&start=0
Now the only thing left is that I need a monitor with it now, and I need a gaming one.
The only problem is that I don’t want to spend too much on it, because I’m low on budget because I’m going to spend a lot in the configuration alone, and because I plan to buy a 144 Hz monitor in the future.
So I need you to suggest me one monitor for around $150 until I get some more money and buy a new 144hz and leave this one to my brother who also is a gamer.
These are monitors that I can get in my country (I will remove the low priced and high priced ones):

Answer #1
LG ips monitors are good
Answer #2
although lg and samsung panel suppliers , they are not as specialized as asus on gaming monitors , their priority are tv. i looked 4 asus monitors that you have given up in the list. they are all ancient and only supports vga connections , isnt there anymore asus monitors between 21-24 inch range in your shops ? you can keep using your crt monitor instead of buying the asus ones mentioned above
look for those 2 asus monitors , VS239HV and VX229H , first one is ips panel second one is ah-ips panel which should be a little more expensive , since those monitors have a refresh rate of 60hz , you dont need any monitors whose response time is smaller than 5ms , i can explain it technically later, besides ips panel can not go any lower than 5ms.
Answer #3
IMO youd be better off getting a larger 60hz monitor like this http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-34UM65-P
or something with Gsync
Answer #4
he will buy a gaming monitor in the future when he raise enough money for it , he just needs a temporary one for a few months and costs something like $150
