Gaming monitor for about 150 euro?
February 1st, 2014
Considiring that my Samsung SyncMaster ex1920w 18.5 inch lcd monitor with a resolution of 1440×900 gives me lousy img quality in games I just have to get me a better one.
My budget is limited though.. I was wondering if someone can recommend me a good Price/quality monitor for gaming for about 150 euro (is +- 200 US dollar).
Here are the specs of my current monitor:

Also if possible can someone explain me whats the deal with dynamic contrast? And what are good values for this? My current values are 1.000:1 static and 50.000:1 dynamic but i don’t know if this is good or bad. Games (maxed out) look crappy with it though.
Look into a ASUS VW246H 24″. Their $200 bucks here in the US. No idea what they cost over the sea.

You don’t see many asus monitors in Europe I think. Generally speaking Samsung are the big lcd monitor company in Europe.
Edit: What country are you buying from?
LG is quite good
Here is a 24″ Samsung ,full HD.

LG IPS236V. best you can get at that price. stretch a bit more and you can get the older revision that has a better stand. avoid low quality TN screens.

150 euro doesn’t go as far in some countries.

Nice monitor but it costs more than 250 euro here.. :[
€ 166.82 in belgium.
Worth upping the budget for such a large quality difference.
Once you go IPS you wont look at another TN screen again
