Movies and sound

February 3rd, 2020

Hi everyone.
I have a problem, occasionally, with movies that I get here and the sound isn’t very loud.
When I burn them, on ConvertXtoDVD4 and then play them on my dvd player I can have the sound all the way up
on my stereo system but barely hear the audio.
Is there someway to adjust this in the converting process? Or do I just have to wait for a better copy to download?
The most recent one that was like this was Black Mass. I couldn’t watch it because I couldn’t hear it. Details: Size: 833MB Video: MKV | 1280×528 Audio: English Runtime: 2h 02mn Subtitles: Chinese Hardcoded Encoder: SherifWbb Source: SS (1080p
thanks in advance for your support!

With ConvertXtodvd(5), go to ‘Default Settings’ > ‘Audio’ , and change the ‘Audio Compression’.
Setting it to ‘loud’ might help..
Answer #2
Ha! That looks like a setting I should have figured out by now. Thanks for that. Going to try it now and see how it does.

check the mkv audio type with mediainfo, it could be ac3 which does tend to be lower volume. ive seen many people complain about low audio volume with ac3
Answer #4
NotMyRealName…it is ac3. good to know. I burned it using LOUD setting as suggested by , and I was able to hear it perfectly. Thanks!
