[SOLVED]Malware program infected my computer

August 1st, 2016

I have been very careful with protecting my computer against viruses over the years however, I was looking for this program so desperately that I took the risk of getting it from a suspicious website. As I launch the program I immediately saw russian texts in the installer program and immediately went to cancel it. Unfortunately, I was already too late. Since then, Ive been getting russian sites during my initial startup of the computer and when I do searches on my browser. I have a bit of knowledge regarding this “virus”. From what I read, these are malwares and I’m currently on the process of trying the Malwarebytes to help me but just in case I wasnt successful, will anyone please help me solve this problem without having to result to do a fresh install of my Windows. thank you
Sorry for being such a noob LOL

Yes, give Malwarebytes a run.
Another one I found good was this.
http://www.adwareremovaltool.org/
Also you could run an Eset online scan.

If you haven’t already, it is a good idea to have a good real time anti virus and anti malware running.
Especially if you are going to be adventurous around the traps

Thank you guys Just an update, the sites are not appearing on startup or when I google now. However, it does sometimes randomly open during my Internet sessions. Luckily, malwarebytes did its magic and showed me the directory of where the malwares were relocated. They’re gone now.

Good to see!
Worth running that adwaremoval tool though, I found.
It can sometimes detect and completely remove stuff that Malwarebytes misses.
